How New York Businesses Can Benefit from Food Recovery: Part I

This virtual event emphasizes three key strategies outlined in the EPA Food Recovery Hierarchy: animal feed, compost, and anaerobic digestion. CET presents about the no-cost wasted food reduction assistance available through the Rethink Food Waste NY program.

Feeding New York State, a nonprofit organization that partners with government entities, the food industry, donors and volunteers discusses their work directing surplus food to communities.

Goodness Gardens, an herb farm out of New Hampton, outlines their effective methods and logistics programs for preventing product waste. Additionally, University at Buffalo describes their food donation program, which makes a significant difference in the community by directing their surplus food to those in need.
