Amherst Heat Pump Incentive Program

Designed to make your home more sustainable

The Amherst Heat Pump Incentive Program is an initiative by the Town of Amherst in partnership with CET to support homeowners in adopting energy-efficient heat pump systems.

This program provides financial assistance, expert guidance, and education to make the transition to clean heating and cooling technology seamless.

By participating in this program,

homeowners can:

Receive financial support through incentives that help offset the initial installation costs, making it more affordable to transition to a high-efficiency heating and cooling system.

Lower energy bills by utilizing energy-efficient heat pump systems that consume less electricity compared to traditional heating and cooling methods, leading to long-term cost savings.

Reduce carbon emissions by transitioning to a cleaner, electric-powered heating and cooling solution, contributing to Amherst’s broader environmental and sustainability goals.

Improve home comfort with advanced technology that ensures consistent indoor temperatures, reduces humidity levels, and operates quietly throughout all seasons.

Imagine getting help to reduce the upfront cost of heat pump installation.

Understanding The program

Heat pumps offer a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional heating and cooling systems. The program aims to complete 30 heat pump installations by December 31, 2026, while educating the community about the benefits and best practices of this advanced technology.
