Innovative Energy Efficiency report

In the innovative energy efficiency report you can explore program results, strategies, and recommendations for enhancing weatherization in small businesses through rigorous data analysis and customer engagement insights from 2020-2021.

In 2018, the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) introduced the Innovate Energy Efficiency Grant Program whose purpose was to seek demonstration projects for the deployment of emerging energy efficiency technologies and the delivery of innovative energy efficiency programs.

Introduction

This report summarizes the Pilot planning, training, implementation, measurement, and verification activities, and presents program results, including but not limited to, customer engagement strategies, energy cost savings, energy usage reductions, and cost to implement.

Based on a program of rigorous data collection and reporting, data has been recorded, compiled, and analyzed for each small business project between April 2020 and December 2021. Also, documents and analyzes factors that motivate customers to move forward, as well as those factors that inhibit projects, and includes recommendations for program design innovations that will increase weatherization in small businesses and potential future innovations.
