Deconstructing Deconstruction

March 28, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

Join us on March 28, 2023 at 3 PM (EST) for our virtual event, Deconstructing Deconstruction.

Around 600 million tons of construction and demolition (C&D) materials are thrown away in the U.S. every year. This represents more than double the amount of everyday garbage discarded by the public in the U.S. annually. A great way to reduce this waste is through deconstruction, which keeps perfectly good building materials and appliances out of landfills and presents opportunities for lower disposal fees and tax deductions.

Contractors and real estate agents in Connecticut are encouraged to join Deconstructing Deconstruction, a webinar hosted by the Center for EcoTechnology (CET). CET will provide an overview of deconstruction and C&D recycling best practices and underline the no-cost technical assistance available to contractors. Attendees will leave the webinar inspired by the deconstruction success stories presented. Come prepared to decrease your carbon footprint!
