2023 Compost Site Operators Workshop at Buffalo River Compost

Join the Center for EcoTechnology, NYS DEC, and James McSweeney of Compost Technical Services and The 131° School of Composting for an informative compost site operator workshop series in New York State. The workshop series will focus on best practices for commercial-scale composting operations that incorporate food materials.  

These workshops are funded by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation through the Rethink Food Waste NY program, a program managed by The Center for EcoTechnology.

Workshop Details

Tuesday, October 3, 2023, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Morning classroom portion: Location to be shared upon registration
Afternoon field portion: Buffalo River Compost

The workshop will be held from 7:30 am-4:30 pm on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 in Buffalo, NY. This all-day, free-to-attend event will begin in a nearby classroom setting followed by a field session at the Buffalo River Compost site. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with more information. When signing up for the workshop, it is expected you will be in attendance for the entire day.
