Nestled within Massachusetts’ vast agricultural landscape lies an innovative collaboration between CET (Center for EcoTechnology) and the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) that is reshaping how farmers approach energy challenges.

The MFEP isn’t ordinary; it’s a strategic partnership combining expertise from CET and MDAR, empowering farmers with customized solutions.

With a vision to empower farmers, MFEP promotes sustainable energy practices such as:

  • Personalized Guidance: Farmers receive individualized technical assistance to identify energy-saving opportunities and solutions tailored to their specific needs. In addition, this guidance helps them make informed decisions that optimize their energy use.
  • Financing and Grants: The MFEP also facilitates access to financing and grants, which help cover the costs of implementing energy efficiency projects and renewable technologies. As a result, farmers can invest in sustainable solutions without significant upfront costs.
