CET has helped 23 communities earn over $330,000 in funding so far for community renewable energy projects like this one in Williamstown - a solar PV array on the roof of the Milne Library.

It’s time for individuals, businesses and communities to take action to help the region shift to cleaner, renewable sources of energy for a sustainable energy future. Currently, when you flip on a light, almost all of the electricity that comes into your house and business is generated by coal, oil, natural gas, nuclear or large scale hydropower.

As part of our commitment to reduce climate change, CET is active in promoting renewable energy options, information and resources.

• Promoting renewable energy options that let residents voluntarily support clean energy sources in our region through New England GreenStart and the New England Wind Fund
• Engaging businesses in western Massachusetts in supporting renewable energy
• Helping towns earn funding for community renewable energy projects
• Offering education, workshops, and tours on renewable energy sources and technologies
