Massachusetts Energy Codes Trainings for 2010
For Building Code Officials, Builders, Architects, HVAC Professionals, Home Inspectors and any other professionals affected by code changes
Only a few remaining classes will be offered this fall.
Two code enhancements for 2010 - the mandatory adoption of the latest version of the IECC (IECC-2009) and the optional Stretch code - introduced incremental changes over the 7th Edition and several significant departures from the current (and previous) editions of the code.
To orient building professionals to the changes, the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards (BBRS) and Department of Energy Resources (DOER) are sponsoring two separate technical training classes - one for residential and one for commercial code changes.
NOTE: BUILDING OFFICIALS ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE ENERGY CODE TRAINING
The BBRS now requires building officials to obtain training in energy for building official certification. The Massachusetts Energy Code Trainings satisfy the new energy training requirement. If you are an active code official please email training@cetonline.org or call 413-586-7350x240 to register and have the fee waived.
